Training
Consider our successful programs. We offer training in
Western Pleasure, Dressage and Everyday Horsemanship. Our staff will gladly discuss your individual needs and tailor
the program for you and your horse. Your program can be geared towards starting young horses, correcting problems and issues,
fine tuning for show or recreational purposes.
We start by analyzing your horse's current skill level. Then, we begin immediately to develop the knowledge that will improve their performance and take them to the next level on the Training Scale. We combine experience, patience and understanding in order to provide each horse the opportunity to achieve full potential. Meet our Instructors
Jamie Novak is the owner and full-time professional
trainer and instructor at Novak Equine Center. With more than 25 years of experience with horses, she specializes in
training performance horses in the areas of Western Pleasure, Showmanship and Hunter Under Saddle. She has been successfully
competing as a professional for many years at the AQHA level and has several Minnesota and North Dakota futurity wins.
Jamie focuses on her
clients needs and goals through helping them focus on their goals and develop their riding skills and techniques. Her
training program is intense. The horses are athletes and are treated as such. She feels the only way for a horse
to be comfortable is to have it do what the horse was made to do both mentally and physically. She likes to keep their
minds fresh and looking forward to doing their job versus forcing a square peg into a round hole. Therefore, many maneuvers
and disciplines are incorporated into the training program to keep diversity in the day-to-day riding. This promotes greater
agility and performance from the horse so they can be at their optimal presentation for the show days.
Novak Equine Center is proud to feature Iver Halverson
as our full-time "Everyday Horsmanship" trainer. With over 40+ years of experience with horses, he has started
hundreds of colts and horses of various ages and worked with countless horses having varying behavioral problems. He has enjoyed helping many horses and owners have a more safe and pleasant life together by establishing a relationship
